Entrepreneurial Endeavors: Handcrafted Goods and Culinary Creations

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cell of St. Joseph Vaz College successfully organized an Entrepreneurs Sale, “Entrepreneurial Endeavors: Handcrafted Goods and Culinary Creations” from December 17 to 19, 2024, on the college campus.

The event was inaugurated by Rev. Prof. Simao R. Diniz, Administrator of the college, who emphasized the importance of fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among students through such initiatives. The sale celebrated the creativity and business acumen of the college’s BScstudents and staff, offering a platform for showcasing talent and innovation.

The event featured an impressive array of handmade goods and culinary delights, including festive desserts, traditional Goan treats, handcrafted jewellery, Christmas decorations, paintings, and unique beverages such as dragon fruit wine and lime cordials. The initiative drew enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and local villagers, who appreciated the quality and diversity of the offerings.

Coordinated under the leadership of Dr. Aureen Lemos Godinho Gomes, Convenor of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cell, and supported by dedicated faculty members viz., Ms. Viona Correia, Ms. Sharon Fernandes, Ms Arzoo Mulla and Ms. Aroma Diniz, the sale highlighted the institution’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial skills and fostering creativity.

This inspiring initiative successfully demonstrated the potential of the college community while promoting innovation and self-reliance.
