To commemorate Gandhi Jayanti, the Department of Library organized a series of activities for students, including an interclass quiz on the “Life of Mahatma Gandhi” and a Peace Pledge session.

The quiz was held on 1st October 2025 in the college seminar hall at 12:15 p.m. Four teams—Avengers, Team Diamonds, Kunafas, and FANAM participated, each comprising five members. Conducted via the Kahoot app, the quiz offered an engaging and interactive
platform for students to enhance their knowledge about Mahatma Gandhi’s life and contributions. The competition concluded at 1:00 p.m., with Team Avengers, consisting of Varad Parob, Prajakta Prabhu Gaunker, and Tanisha Mangeshkar of T.Y. B.Sc., emerging as the winners.

On 4 th October 2025, the Department organized a special session for students to take the Gandhi Jayanti Peace Pledge at 9:55 a.m. in the seminar hall. The pledge was led by Mr. Ludiloy Pereira (Library Staff) in the presence of the officiating Principal, Ms. Viona Correia, and College Librarian, Ms. Manali Acharya, along with S.Y. B.Sc. students. The session emphasized Gandhiji’s values of peace, non-violence, and harmony, and students actively reaffirmed their commitment to uphold these principles in daily life.

The Department noted that both events not only celebrated the Father of the Nation but also ncouraged students to embrace Gandhian values of unity, respect, and social responsibility, making the observance both educational and meaningful.
