Mock Interview Training Programme

The Department of Library and Skill Development Cell of St. Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim, Goa, in collaboration with Alpha Mindz Trainers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Panaji, successfully organised a Mock Interview Training Programme for the T.Y.B.Sc. students on 25th June 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the college seminar hall.

The programme was conducted as part of the activities planned under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between St. Joseph Vaz College and Alpha Mindz Trainers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd. on 16th December 2025. The collaboration aims to strengthen industry–academia interaction by equipping students with the skills, confidence, and professional competencies required to excel in today’s competitive job market.

The workshop was facilitated by two experienced resource persons from Alpha Mindz Trainers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd. – Ms. Deepa Prabhu, Sr. Manager – Marketing, and Ms. Rupa Sawant, Sr. Manager – Business Development. The training programme was specifically designed to enhance the employability skills of final-year students through sessions on effective resume writing, group discussion techniques, interview skills, personal presentation, communication skills, confidence building, and understanding recruiter expectations.

The inaugural session was graced by Vice Principal, Ms. Viona Correia, College Librarian, Ms. Manali Acharya, and the two resource persons. The programme commenced with the introduction of the resource persons followed by a floral welcome.

The sessions were highly interactive and activity-based, featuring practical demonstrations, mock interviews, group discussions, and personalised feedback. Students participated enthusiastically throughout the workshop, actively engaging in the activities and discussions. The interactive sessions provided valuable insights into the recruitment process and helped students develop greater confidence, improve their communication skills, and understand professional interview etiquette. The students also actively interacted with the resource persons by asking several questions and clarifying their doubts regarding interviews and career preparation.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Ludiloy Pereira, LDC (Library). The students appreciated the interactive sessions and found the practical tips, real-life examples, and guidance shared by the resource persons to be very useful. The training programme was a valuable step in helping students build confidence and prepare themselves for future job interviews and career opportunities. It also reflected the shared commitment of St. Joseph Vaz College and Alpha Mindz Trainers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd. to equip students with the skills needed to succeed in the professional world.
