An awareness talk on the topic ‘HIV/AIDS awareness’ was organized by the Red Ribbon Club of St Joseph Vaz College, held on 14 th February 2024. The Guest speaker for the function was Dr. Trusha Kenkre, Medical Officer in charge PHC Cortalim. Also present among the dignitaries Dr. Maria A.A.R Fonseca, Principal of St.Joseph Vaz college and R.R.C Convenor Ms. Aroma Diniz

The programme commensed at 10.00 a.m. with a warm welcome to the dignitaries. Followed by a short prayer service. The Principal addressed the gathering. A session on HIV/AIDS awareness was delivered by Dr. Trusha Kenkre through power point presentation. Doctor explained about how HIV/AIDS spreads, cleared the myths and stigmas related to HIV/AIDS, the statistics of HIV cases in Goa and the preventive measures. Students listened attentively and after the session asked questions, the queries were answered by the speaker. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Aroma Diniz, followed by R.R.C oath. The programme was concluded by 11.00 a.m.
