Book Review activity
The Department of Library at St. Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim conducted a Book Review Activity for the Second Year B.Sc. students as part of the observance of National Reading Month with the objective of nurturing a culture of reading and reflective thinking among young learners. As part of this initiative, students were encouraged to explore books of their choice and present a structured review highlighting various aspects such as the book’s theme, writing style, key takeaways, and personal impressions.
A total of fifteen students participated enthusiastically, selecting titles that ranged from timeless classics to contemporary self-help literature. This diverse selection demonstrated the students’ keen interest in different genres and subjects.
The activity provided a valuable platform for students to articulate their thoughts, develop critical analysis skills, and gain confidence in presenting their perspectives. By sharing their reflections, they also inspired their peers to broaden their reading horizons.
