The Department of Chemistry at St. Joseph Vaz College successfully organized a Christmas Candle Decorating Competition on December 15, 2025 , injecting festive cheer and creativity into the campus.

The event was centered around the theme: “A Festive Christmas Celebration” Open to all enrolled students , the competition required participants to transform a plain pillar candle into a decorative piece fitting the theme. Students were provided with a plain pillar candle and brought their own non-flammable decorations, such as beads, ribbons, dried flowers, and figurines.

The Department of Chemistry announced the top-performing students whose entries best captured the festive spirit and artistic skill:
First Place: Blessiya Lucas
Second Place: Varad Parob
Third Place: Tanisha Mangueshkar

The event saw enthusiastic participation, displaying a high level of artistic skill and festive spirit among the students.
