St. Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim, along with St. Joseph Vaz Institute of Education, Cortalim, and Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Institutes, organized a Christmas Family Day for the staff on 23 rd December 2025 at the Church Hall of Sts. James and Philip Church, Cortalim.

The programme commenced with a solemn prayer service, followed by an inspiring address by the Administrator, Rev. Prof. Simão R. Diniz. In his message, he emphasized the importance of being good human beings and nurturing compassion, kindness, and understanding in our daily lives. He highlighted that the true spirit of Christmas lies in spreading joy, warmth, and goodwill to everyone, which serves as a gentle reminder to uphold values of empathy, unity, respect, and togetherness, thereby fostering a more humane and harmonious society.

The celebration featured a variety of engaging performances and activities, including Christmas-themed dances, carol singing, a pastoral skit, a nativity presentation, a fashion show, spot prizes, and interactive games, all of which contributed to a joyful and festive atmosphere.

The programme concluded with the exchange of the Christ Child symbolizing love and blessing, followed by a fellowship lunch, providing an opportunity for staff to bond and celebrate the season of joy together.
