St. Joseph Vaz College, in collaboration with St. Joseph Vaz Institute of Education, Cortalim, and Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Institutes, Cortalim, organised a Christmas Programme for the students on 22 nd December 2025 at 09:00 a.m. in the school quadrangle.

The programme commenced with a prayer service, during which the candles of the Advent wreath representing each institution were lit by the Administrator, Rev. Prof. Simão R. Diniz, along with the Heads of the respective institutions. This was followed by an address by the Administrator, in which he reflected on the true spirit of Christmas. He emphasised the importance of nurturing values such as hope, peace, joy, and love in our daily lives, encouraging students to practice compassion, unity, and gratitude, especially during the festive season.

Subsequently, a carol singing competition was held and conducted in three categories: the first category for Primary and High School students, the second category for Higher Secondary students, and the third category for College and Institute of Education students.

While the results of the competition were being tabulated, the programme was enlivened with Christmas-themed spot prizes for students and a cheerful appearance by Santa Claus, which added to the festive atmosphere.

In the third category, the second place was secured by T.Y.B.Sc., while the first place was won by S.Y.D.El.Ed. students.

The programme concluded at 11:00 a.m., leaving the gathering with a sense of joy, togetherness, and the true spirit of Christmas.
