The Department of Microbiology organized a creative event titled “Coaster Making Competition” for F.Y., S.Y., and T.Y. B.Sc. students on 17th December 2025 in Microbiology Lab 2. The objective of the competition was to foster creativity and instil a festive spirit among
students while encouraging the use of handmade coasters. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all three batches. Participants showcased a wide range of innovative and colourful creations, reflecting their artistic abilities and originality. 

The coasters were crafted using diverse materials such as eco-friendly items, paper, beads, ribbons, and other decorative elements. The competition contributed to a lively and cheerful atmosphere within the department and provided students with an excellent platform to exhibit their creativity and craftsmanship. Overall, the event was successfully conducted and was well appreciated by both students and faculty members. The competition was judged by Ms. Viona Correia and Mr. Xellion Gracias. The first place was won by Ms. Kanak Shirodkar (S.Y.B.Sc.), second place by Ms. Shubhra Malvankar (F.Y.B.Sc.) and third place by Ms. Astrid Fernandes (S.Y.B.Sc.).
