On 8th October 2025, the Consumer Welfare Cell of St. Joseph Vaz College conducted an elocution competition in the college Seminar Hall on the theme “Consumer Awareness.” The event was organized with the objective of encouraging students to overcome stage fear and enhance their confidence. Convened by College Librarian Ms. Manali Acharya, the competition witnessed participation from 14 students and was evaluated by Ms. Jolene Fernandes, D.El.Ed lecturer, and Ms. Vindhiya Gauns, Assistant Professor in Konkani. The programme commenced at 12:15 p.m. and concluded at 1:00 p.m., during which students delivered articulate and
commendable speeches.

The winners were Tejasvini Lamani (T.Y.B.Sc) – first place; Seimoon Khazi (S.Y.B.Sc) and Abhishek Chawdhary (S.Y.B.Sc) – joint second place; and Namrata Lamani (F.Y.B.Sc) and Prajakta Prabhu Gaunker (T.Y.B.Sc) – joint third place. The event provided an effective platform for students to develop and demonstrate their public speaking skills.
