The inauguration of the VIII edition of the college magazine “JOSEPHITE” was held on 18th October , 2025, at 11:30 a.m. in the College Seminar Hall. The event was compered by Mr. Xellion Gracias , College Counsellor and member of the Magazine Committee.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome extended to Rev. Prof. Simao R. Diniz, Administrator; Ms. Viona Correia, Officiating Principal; Ms. Manali Acharya, Editor of the College Magazine and College Librarian; faculty members, and students. The compere highlighted this year’s magazine theme, “Harmony with Nature for Future Generations,”
emphasizing the shared responsibility of all to protect and preserve the environment.

The programme commenced with a short prayer, invoking the blessings of the almighty, followed by a symbolic watering of a plant by the Administrator, Rev. Prof. Simao R. Diniz, representing the nurturing of nature. The administrator then addressed the gathering with words of inspiration and encouragement.

The magazine was inaugurated both traditionally and digitally by the Administrator, Officiating Principal, and Librarian. The audience applauded as the first printed copy of JOSEPHITE was unveiled and the digital version was launched on screen.

Following the inauguration, Mr. Ludiloy Pereira announced the winners of the various competitions organized by the Department of Library during the first half of the academic year. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Mitali Madrekar, member of the Magazine Committee, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, contributors, and participants for making the programme a success.

The ceremony celebrated creativity, awareness, and harmony with nature, setting a thoughtful tone for the academic year ahead.
