St Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim cycling team secured 3rd place in the Inter College cycling championship organised by Goa University at Rosary College, Navelim narrowly missing second place by 1 point and 5 points respectively. This was the second consecutive year that the college secured 3 rd place. The team members were Sharif Ansari, Umesh Padasalimani, Amit Naik, Dishant Kankonkar, Rutik Parab, Shubham Gauns, Umesh Gani, Vignesh Naik and Veron Rocha. The college team was trained by Mr Deepak Ashanagar and guided by Dr Elroy Pinto, College Director of Physical Education and Sports of the college.
