The department of physical education and Sports of St. Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim organised a series of intramural sports competitions for the students of the college. The objectives of organising these intramurals were to provide an opportunity for every student to participate in Games and sports, to develop leadership Qualities among students, to develop the Feeling of Cooperation, to provide recreation and to develop the Feeling of Sportsmanship.

The first intramural held was table tennis for both men and women on 5th and 6th July 2024 wherein there were 23 and 5 participants in the men and women category respectively. Mr Shubham Gauns was the winner in the men section and Miss Sheraine Andrade was the winner in the women section. In the men section runner-up was Sanford Dias and Amit Naik secured third place. In the women section runner-up was Muskan Kumari and Shreya Mulik clinched third place.

The next intramural was Chess held on 13th July 2024. 16 students from the college participated in the competition. The competitors played against each other over six rounds. The winner of the intramural was Prajakta Prabhu Gaunker. Raj Singh and Umesh Gani clinched the runner up and third place respectively.

The last intramural in the series was badminton held from 17th to 20th July 2024. In badminton there were 26 participants in the women category and 16 participants in the men category. The title was clinched by Shreyas Morudkar and Shreya Mulik in the men and women category. Runner up in men category was Shubham Gauns and in the women category was Jade Pereira. Bhavesh Naik and Anezia Barretto had to settle for third place.
