The Department of Library Science of the College had organized a Book Exhibition in view of National Library week that is celebrated all over the country from 14th November to 21st November in the College auditorium at 10:00a.m.
The compère for the occasion was Mr. Ludiloy A. Pereira, L.D.C, who briefed the visitors about the importance of the library and introduced the Chief Guest Rev. Dr. Simão R. Diniz, Administrator.

The Administrator inaugurated the occasion by cutting the ribbon, lead us into the prayer service and addressed the gathering stating the students and teachers are to make optimal use of library recourses: read journals, magazines, academic books and periodicals, further congratulating the librarian, Mr. Sidharth Velip for conducting this commemorative day.

Dr. Maria Foncesa, Principal was also requested to speak a few words, who mentioned that library is the power house of knowledge, she stated that this occasion was conducted for the first time and requested the student to inculcate the practice of reading and asked the students to familiarize with the academic books. She concluded her speech by congratulating Mr. Sidharth and his team for the effort put in to making this exhibition a success.

The Principal of Diploma in Elementary Education, Dr. Allan Abreo, also addressed the gathering, he narrated an interesting anecdote of Christopher Columbus, stating that he had read that story a long time ago, advising teachers to do the same and make the lecture interesting, he too congratulated the librarian of the work well done.

The function came to an end at 11:00 a.m. with the librarian proposing the Vote of Thanks and the administrator declaring the exhibition open.
