On 18th July 2025, the department of Microbiology of St. Joseph Vaz College in collaboration with Microbiologists Society India organized a poster exhibition on the theme “Meet Your Microbes” for the FY,B.Sc. S.Y.B.Sc. and TYBSc Microbiology students of the college. This event was conducted during the ‘Microbiome Awareness Week’ (14th July to 19th July) to celebrate ‘World Microbiome Day,’ which is observed every year on 27th June. The session was held in Microbiology Lab 2. The T.Y.B.Sc. Microbiology students actively participated in the event by preparing posters on different types of microbiome including oral, human gut, marine, soil, plant, animal and skin microbiome. The TYBSc Microbiology students explained each of their posters to FYBSc, SYBSc and TYBSc students highlighting the importance, benefits, and ways to maintain the microbiome for overall health. The posters prepared for the
session were visually appealing and scientifically informative, adding value to the overall presentation.

It was an interactive session where students asked questions, and the presenters clarified their doubts effectively.
