The Department of Library, St. Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim Goa, in collaboration with Alpha Mindz Trainers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Panaji Goa, successfully organised a Mock Interview Training Programme for T.Y.B.Sc. students on 16 th December 2025, commencing at 9.00 a.m. in the college seminar hall.

At the outset, a significant milestone was achieved with the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of Library, St. Joseph Vaz College and Alpha Mindz Trainers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd. The MoU aims to strengthen industry–academia collaboration and focuses on preparing students to be career-ready and confident while interacting with employers and recruitment panels.

The MoU signing ceremony was graced by Rev. Prof. Simão R. Diniz, Administrator, Ms. Viona Correia, Officiating Principal, and Ms. Manali S. Acharya, College Librarian & Coordinator, representing St. Joseph Vaz College. Representing Alpha Mindz Trainers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd. were Ms. Rupa Sawant, Ms. Deepa Prabhu, and Mr. Krishna Bharatia. The presence of all dignitaries underscored the importance of the collaboration and its long-term benefits for students.

Following the MoU signing, the Mock Interview Training Programme was conducted by the expert resource persons from Alpha Mindz. The programme was specially designed for final-year students to enhance essential employability skills, including: Effective resume writing, Group discussion techniques, Interview skills and personal presentation, Communication and confidence building and Understanding recruiter expectations.

The sessions were highly interactive and activity-based, incorporating practical demonstrations, mock interviews, group discussions, and personalised feedback. Students participated enthusiastically throughout the programme, actively engaging in discussions and exercises. By the end of the sessions, students displayed increased confidence, improved clarity in communication, and a better understanding of professional interview etiquette.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr.Ludiloy Pereira, LDC(library) and an overwhelmingly positive feedback from the participating students, who appreciated the practical approach, real-world insights, and constructive guidance provided by the trainers. The MoU and the training programme together mark a purposeful step towards equipping students of St. Joseph Vaz College with the skills, confidence, and preparedness required to face the competitive professional world successfully.
