The Library of St. Joseph Vaz College recently organized an interclass Rakhi Making Competition for B.Sc students as part of their contribution to the “One Rakhi for the Jawan” initiative, an event hosted by Chaitanya Pratishthan Goa scheduled for 6th August 2025 at Kala Academy, Panaji.

The primary aim of the programme was to foster a sense of patriotism, encourage empathy towards soldiers, and help students reflect on the sacrifices made by the armed forces for the nation. The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students who showcased their creativity and heartfelt respect, resulting in the collection of 155 handmade rakhis.

Students from both First Year and Second Year B.Sc classes were declared winners, recognizing their wholehearted efforts and enthusiastic contribution to this noble initiative.
