A rejuvenating yoga session was organized at St. Joseph Vaz College on 19th October 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the college seminar hall. The event, a collaborative effort by the Skill Development Cell, IQAC of the college, and Lion’s Club, Panjim, benefitted 46 students.

The primary objective of the yoga session was to foster physical, mental, and spiritual well-being among the students of St. Joseph Vaz College. The event aimed to create a serene and peaceful atmosphere, encouraging participants to embrace yoga as a regular practice for a more wholesome lifestyle.

The session commenced with a warm welcome by the compere, Umesh Gani, setting the tone for the program. A prayer service led by Iden Barreto further enriched the gathering. This was followed by a welcome address by the Acting Principal, Ms Angela Serrao, who highlighted the significance of yoga in today's fast-paced world. The resource person, Ms. Sushma Sawant, led an engaging yoga session, guiding participants through various asanas and breathing techniques. She emphasized the importance of making yoga a daily routine and highlighted its unique refreshing nature compared to other physical activities. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Viona Correia, the IQAC coordinator.
