The Department of Microbiology organized a creative competition titled “Deck the Tree: Christmas Hanging Making Competition” for the F.Y., S.Y., and T.Y. B.Sc. students on 17th December 2025 in Microbiology Lab 2. The aim of the competition was to encourage creativity and festive spirit among students while promoting the use of handmade decorative items. The competition received an enthusiastic response from students across all three batches. A variety of creative and colourful Christmas-themed hangings were displayed, reflecting the artistic skills and innovative ideas of the participants. 

The decorations included ornaments made from eco-friendly materials, paper crafts, beads, ribbons, and other decorative items. The event created a festive atmosphere in the department and provided students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and craftsmanship. The competition was successfully conducted and appreciated by both students and faculty members. The judges for this were Ms. Viona Correia and Mr. Xellion Gracias. The first place was won by Ms. Fiona Pereira (S.Y.B.Sc.), second place by Ms. Komal Ghanchi (T.Y.B.Sc.) and third place by Ms. Astrid Fernandes (S.Y.B.Sc.).
