The Library and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) department of St. Joseph Vaz College, in collaboration with Balani Infotech Pvt. Ltd, jointly organized a National Webinar focused on “Academic Writing Skills and Publishing”. This webinar took place on 25th July, 2023, starting at 2:30 pm. The primary objective of this event was to enhance the academic writing capabilities of researchers, share effective publishing practices, and provide valuable knowledge to thrive in the scholarly world. The webinar attracted 150 participants from various regions across India.

Mrs. Manali Acharya, Librarian and the event coordinator from the college for this webinar, opened the event with a warm welcome to all attendees and introduced the resource person. Subsequently, Ms. Angela Serrao, the IQAC coordinator and Assistant Professor in Chemistry, gave an introductory address, providing insights about the college to the participants. Afterward, she invited the resource person Dr.Nikita Wanjari, Relationship Manager and Science Communicator , Balani Infotech Pvt.Ltd to begin her presentation.

During the presentation, the resource person shared valuable insights and practical tips on academic writing skills and publishing processes, equipping the participants with essential tools to enhance their abilities and navigate the publishing landscape effectively.

At the conclusion of the webinar, Ms.Viona Correia ,Asst Professor in Mathematics of St. Joseph Vaz College, delivered the Vote of Thanks. She expressed her gratitude to all the participants and the resource person for shedding light on such an important topic in today’s scholarly world. The event concluded at 3:45 pm.
