Video Making Competition

St. Joseph Vaz College’s counselling and women development cells recently hosted a video-making competition in honour of International Youth Day on August 12th, 2023. The competition focused on the theme of “Issues Faced by Youth,” and students were divided into groups and given specific topics such as depression, body-shaming, peer pressure, climate change, violence against women, and social injustice and inequality.

Each group was tasked with creating a video no longer than three minutes that addressed their assigned topic. The videos were judged based on content, creativity, and technical quality (both sound and picture). The video on body shaming claimed first place, while the video on peer pressure came in second. The competition was judged by Dr. Maria Cineola Fernandes, Assistant Professor of Botany, and Mr. Seliston Gama, Assistant Professor of Physics.
