3D Poster Making Competition

The Red Ribbon Club of St. Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim organized a ‘3D Poster Making Competition’ on 17th March 2022 on the topic, ‘Drug Use & Abuse’. There were 16 participants from F.Y, S.Y. and T.Y classes and were divided into 8 teams, consisting of two participants in each team. The students were provided chart papers and other essential stationery to make the posters. The competition commenced at 12 p.m. and ended at 2 p.m. where each pair was given two hours to make the posters. The students were asked to use creative and innovative ideas and make ‘3D’ posters to depict safe v/s unsafe drugs and highlight the harm that the illicit drug consumption causes. The criteria for judging included creativity, neatness, adherence to theme, message conveyed & overall presentation. The students were enthusiastic and creative with their posters and used various other material to make the posters, e.g. old tablets and films/wrapping, empty syringes, leaves & other eco-friendly material, 3D paper (Origami) designs and so on.

The posters were assessed on 19th March, 2022 during the programme organized for the students by RRC on an informative session by Dr. Prajali Prasad, Medical Officer, PHC Cortalim on the topic, ‘Drug Use & Abuse’. The Winners of the competition were announced at the end of the session and are as follows. The first place was won by Ms. Swizel Carvalho & Ms. Pallavi Jadhav from T.Y B.Sc. and the second place was bagged by Ms. Prajwal Sawant and Ms. Flossy Lucas from F.Y. B.Sc. Mementos were presented to the students as prizes for their participation & effort.
