St. Joseph Vaz College commemorated Sadbhavana Diwas on 21^st August, 2023, in the college seminar hall to mark the birth anniversary of the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. This day, also known as ‘Harmony Day,’ embodies the values of goodwill and sincerity. Sadbhavana Diwas serves as a platform to foster national unity, peace, affection, and communal harmony among the diverse people of India, regardless of their religions and languages.

The college counselor Ms. Aroma Diniz, highlighted the importance of the day, followed by students reading out Peace and Harmony verses from different religious books and peace quotes by Mahatma Gandhi, this was to signify each religion talks about peace within and in the world. The program concluded with the reading of a pledge led by Mrs. Manali Acharya, the librarian, with both students and staff taking part in the pledge.
